Otter Curiosity 中文

Lurking, with a head full of opinions.

Changing the world starts with really listening to each other

An otter types out its thought, and comments soon bury it. They are swept away and an otter hugging the globe appears: let your ideas be truly seen. Then a post in the app, the otter helping make it easy to talk about; it is shared to a group chat and under a video, to find people just as curious; posts from beyond your bubble; and a 1:1 conversation about what really matters. It ends on two otters holding hands: sea otters hold hands so they don't drift apart. Shall we?

Questions

What is Otter Curiosity?

Otter Curiosity is a place to talk a topic through with someone new. Share a question or a poll that's been on your mind, and when someone replies, it isn't a public comment for everyone to watch. It's a 1:1 conversation, just the two of you, with room to take your time and really listen.

Will people know who I am?

Don't worry: others see only your nickname and what you choose to write. They never see your photo or your email, and there are no follower counts here. People get to know your thoughts first, not who you are.

Does it cost anything?

Otter Curiosity is free to download and free to use. Shells, the in-app currency, come your way as you take part, or you can buy them, and they unlock a few extra features. There's also an optional subscription: free accounts see ads, and subscribers don't.

Is it a dating app?

No, it isn't. Otter Curiosity is a place to talk about ideas, not to date or find matches. So that everyone can feel at ease, it's for people 18 and over.

What if a conversation turns unpleasant?

We hope every conversation here feels safe. If one ever makes you uncomfortable, report and block are always one tap away, and reporting someone also blocks them. Posts, polls and first replies go through a content review before they appear, too, to help look after the space for everyone.

What if we don't share a language?

Of course you can still talk! Messages can be translated between Traditional Chinese and English automatically, so a different language needn't get in the way of a good conversation.
